As children we likely all had that question posed to us, and our answers undoubtedly included noble career choices. This book, however, helps children to see that their true value as a person comes from far more than their job. Instead, it focuses on developing admirable qualities like being courageous, confident, accepting and forgiving.
With any picture book, as much consideration is given to the illustrations as to the written words. The pictures in Be are clear, colorful and inviting, and their variety keeps each page feeling fresh and exciting. Nonetheless, it is the book’s theme that really shines. The words on each page flow with encouraging and lofty values that any parent would be proud to instill in their children.
