Death by Midnight is everything a spy novel should be.
Anna Goode is just your typical smarter-than-Einstein high schooler. She may not be popular but she sure is clever. Anna enjoys taking things apart and reassembling them with upgraded technological enhancements. For example, who wouldn’t want a pair of camera sunglasses? To avoid being bullied at school she tries to keep her talent hidden from others, but Anna’s skill does not go unnoticed by everyone. One night, a terrorist sneaks into her home and kidnaps her family. Forcing her to do his bidding in exchange for the lives of those she loves, Anna finds herself in quite a bind. The CDC, the CIA, and the police are the least of Anna’s worries as she struggles to save her parents.
Reading Death by Midnight is like being thrown into the deep end of the pool with a tornado bearing down, but in a good way! The thrills begin right away and the intense scenes do not let up. Anna is such a crafty young woman who, although she is a genius, is incredibly relatable. The chaos is wickedly entertaining… car chases, kidnappings, break-ins, escapes, double crossers and more! The story provides a perfect escape from real life.
Nicole Nadeau is a creative genius. Death by Midnight is everything a spy novel should be, fiendishly readable and totally unputdownable!
