Editorial reviews can be very useful in convincing potential readers to select your book. One of the most effective ways to make sure that potential customers see your review is to post it to Amazon. Amazon requests that you upload it to the Editorial Reviews section of your book’s Amazon page rather than including this information in the book’s summary. The following tutorial explains how to add editorial reviews to your book’s Amazon page.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO UPDATING YOUR EDITORIAL REVIEWS
- Log in to Amazon’s Author Central
(If you don’t already have an Author Central account, you can create one for free and then add your Amazon books to your account) - Click on BOOKS
- Select the book that you would like to update
- Under the Editorial Reviews tab, click ADD or EDIT
- Enter your review or direct quotes from it, including attribution, in the section for editorial reviews
- Click PREVIEW
- Review your entry and click SAVE CHANGES
(Note that if your Editorial Review has been editied in the past, you may need to click REQUEST A CORRECTION so that Amazon can make the update for you)
Editorial Reviews may take up to 5 days to appear on Amazon.
Attribution
- Amazon requests that you include the name of the publication or website that your review came from (Example: “What a great book!” – Indies Today)
