Levkaseon by Sarah Westill

A gripping prequel that enhances the Gen-Heirs world.

In Haven City, the HRS virus is not a new enemy, but it certainly is an unstoppable force. What science has taught residents about the virus doesn’t mesh with the evidence Ciarra Joantis is beginning to see. As Shield Guardian Levkaseon, Ciarra is responsible for the health and well-being of the citizens and must put personal conflicts aside in order to figure out what’s going on with all the new rabies cases. However, her brand of personal conflict comes in the form of a jilted ex-husband who has been languishing in prison for crimes he was indefensible against, all at her father’s instigation. The ex, Terran Kaine, can’t sweep the past under the rug as easily as Ciarra seems to, but there are lives at stake and he is the only one in the country that can help piece together the troubling new data. Too bad he can’t seem to forget the feminine curve of her hips or get the scent of her flowery perfume out of his mind long enough to focus on the virus. Will they allow pent up passion to get in the way of professionalism and public health?

Get lost in Sziveria all over again with Ciarra and Terran in Levkaseon, a gripping prequel that enhances the Gen-Heirs world. This torrid installment takes a more sci-fi orbit as the nightmarish rabies virus is fleshed out and examined in greater detail. Sarah Westill clearly had her head in the game when she began this provocative series, as this story touches on so many undeveloped aspects from Wintersfall and Raiventon. Sure, the lust and sexual tension we’ve come to expect from these sensual indulgences are present, but this red-hot fantasy wades knee-deep into more erudite waters. The plot is increasingly complex, the deceptions are extra treacherous, and the technical medical aspects are pointedly pronounced. Carnal and indulgent, Levkaseon is the prequel you didn’t know you couldn’t live without!
