Reflections in the Dark by Carol Koman

Aimee Tredeaux is intelligent and ambitious, albeit a bit impetuous and reckless. She is heiress to her adoptive father’s company and feels she has a lot to prove. On a whim, Aimee decides to go on a kayaking trip managed by a rival company that she plans to intern for. An incident during the trip leaves her and her young brother in need of a knight in shining armor. Inteus ‘Tey’ Locklear, said knight, is the head of Locklear Enterprises. As the panic of a near death experience subsides, Aimee realizes that Tey is the head of the company where she wants to intern. Although the circumstances are not ideal, there is no denying their chemistry.

The characters lead lives much more glamorous than the average person, allowing readers to enjoy the expensive cars and fancy dinners throughout this hypnotic love story. The constant push and pull of the relationship kept me from putting the book down. More than just a basic love story, Reflections in the Dark holds its own as an exciting drama dealing with corporate takeovers.  A modern day Romeo and Juliet, the tale builds to a delightfully satisfying conclusion.

Carol Korman knows how to weave love, drama and thrills into a beautiful modern classic. Reflections in the Dark is a story so steamy it will fog up your glasses!
