A death-defying journey with a heart pounding finish.
A short time has passed since Tris Miles’ dreadful stint working for Tetrix. Since then, things have settled into a pleasant but hectic routine of work, furtive therapy sessions, and quality time with her cat. A coveted opportunity to perform an angel flight from a remote location in Canada promises lots of good publicity for her employer and a handsome and well deserved promotion for herself. Slowly, Tris lets her guard down enough to develop romantic feelings for man, a connection she’s been missing since the death of a lover years earlier. But even cruising altitude can hit some rough patches. A trusted copilot begins to lose his cool, a close friend is in the middle of a crisis, and her promotion is suddenly in jeopardy. Everything hinges on this critical angel flight and Tris might just have to wing it if things continue to spiral out of control.
Angel Flight is a brilliant follow up to a compelling story about a sharp-witted female pilot plotting her course across the world. The addictive book features plenty of in-flight action, behind the scenes insights, a charming, slow-burn romance, and a jaw dropping twist. The novel presents us with a more confident Tris trying hard to maintain her equilibrium. Sure there are some deep seated insecurities, but her confidence is inspiring and Tris is definitely a character to root for. Kardon has also written in a poignant and moving subplot surrounding a family dealing with a terminal illness. Truly something for everyone, Angel Flight is a death-defying journey with a heart pounding finish that will leave you begging for more.
