The focus of this book is to provide assistance for those wishing to avoid sex outside of marriage. Chapter 7 of the Bible book of Proverbs is the basis for the information, and each chapter of Dr. Timothy O’s book focuses on one particular Bible verse. Having wisdom is extolled throughout the book as the primary key to keeping oneself from falling into temptation. The book also features various experiences from the author’s friends and acquaintances. A couple of practical suggestions involve avoiding certain situations and being aware of the seductive tactics that others might use to prey on us.
A couple of my favorite quotes from the book are: “The greatest battle when it comes to seduction is that of the mind”, and the dire warning, “The gateway to hell is the house of the seductress and the house of the seductress is the location of the sexual intercourse”. Some of the text in The Seduction of Proverbs 7 feels a bit rudimentary, but the overall admonition contained within is sound.
It is obvious that Dr. Timothy O feels strongly about providing encouragement and guidance for those wishing to remain chaste. Any Christian that wants to avoid finding themselves in a compromising situation can benefit from reading The Seduction of Proverbs 7 Reloaded.
