A harrowing journey, one better read than lived!
Everybody has a story to tell. For some it is a story of success and acclaim. For other people the story is loss and hardship. In the case of Kenneth Fox, it is all of the above and then some! Fox developed a lifesaving technology with potentially far reaching results in the medical community. With a thriving ophthalmic practice and a young family, Kenneth was able to put away quite a savings to ensure a comfortable life for his wife and kids. That is the success part of the story. In time, Kenneth deals with the deteriorating mental health of his wife and the loss of his parents. Some patent issues and unscrupulous business deals, combined with a ridiculous divorce/child-support lawsuit, leave him with no choice but to leave the country.
Fox is able to vividly describe the bitter trials in his life so that they live up to the thrilling title. Around each bend is a new challenge, an outrageous claim, or a shocking revelation. There are also many insights. I appreciated this thought… “Deterioration can be demeaning, and it weighs upon the afflicted.”
At the Point of a Knife takes readers on a harrowing journey, one better read than lived!
